John Fox, a member of Jim Coffey's Crew, has a huntin' hound which recently won some prize money for John up Pittsburg Kansas way. "Foundry Al" tells that John scented the coon, gave chase, climbed up the tree after the coon and then whistled for the dog.

John Fox of 126 North Maple, Commerce, died at Vinita hospital where he had been a patient 3? years. He resided at Baxter Springs for 25 years before moving to Commerce in 1956. He was employed by American Lead and Zinc Company until poor health forced his retirement in 1957. Mr. Fox, a member of the Masonic lodge at Baxter Springs, is survived by his wife, Mrs. Stella Fox, of the Commerce home; a daughter, Mrs. June Anderson, Spokane Washington; a step-daughter, Mrs. Leanna Isom, Page Arizona; a step-son, Lt. Col. G. D. Rotter, Lincoln Nebraska; three sisters, Mrs. Ivan Lightfoot, Picher Oklahoma; Mrs. Pansy Booth Kansas City Missouri and Mrs. Lena Davis, Tulsa Oklahoma; a brother, Robert Tommy Fox of Grove Oklahoma and two grandchildren.
