age 88, of Joplin Missouri, passed away at 6:30 pm Tuesday, Jun 26, 2001 at his residence after a lengthy illness. Born on May 23, 1913 at Galena Kansas he was the son of Burl Fox and Amy Bell Hayward Fox. He had lived in the Joplin area all of is lifetime. He was a self-employed painter for many years, retiring in 1975. Previously, Floyd had worked in the mines at Picher Oklahoma and Commerce Oklahoma, and Galena Kansas...On May 27, 1933 he married Ada Lois Anderson at Webb City Missouri. She preceded him in death on April 28, 1999. Other survivors include three sons, Floyd Fox, Jr., Adair Oklahoma, Kenneth Allen Fox, Joplin, Dwain Fox, Iowa City Iowa; four daughters, Delores Jean Markham, Kansas City Missouri, Mary Lou Robinson, Anderson Missouri, Judy Ann Riddle, Webb City Missouri, Laura Darlene Strait, Joplin; three sisters, Peal Roach, Colorado Springs Colorado, Julia Goes, Galesbury Missouri, Macy Swink, Wickenburg Arizona; a grandson, James Harbison, Iowa City Iowa; a granddaughter, Jeanette Minard, Joplin; 25 additional grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and six great- great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Services at Parker Mortuary chapel with Rev. Tim Wright and Rev. Kenneth Riley officiating. Burial will follow at Webb City cemetery.
