75 year old retired mining engineer, died of a cerebral hemorrhage in Picher Oklahoma hospital at 10:15 am today. A resident of Picher for the last 32 years, Fowler was stricken and hospitalized on March 1. He would have been 76 years old Thursday. The engineer, born and educated in Dunlop Iowa, was employed for 30 years by the Evans-Wallowed Mining Company before he retired several years ago. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ella Fowler of the home on South Cornell avenue, Picher; a daughter, the Rev. Pauline Parham of Baxter Springs Kansas; and a son, John P. Fowler of Crestline Kansas. Funeral arrangements are incomplete the Thomas funeral home received the body.
