Funeral services for Fred Arthur Foster, 51 years old, were held Thursday afternoon at 2 at the First Christian church, with the Rev. George H. Jones officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery at Galena Kansas. Mr. Foster, who died at his home, 1037 Lincoln avenue, Tuesday night, was a native of Missouri. He came to Galena, when a small boy, and later moved to Baxter Springs. He worked in the lead and zinc mines for 15 years. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Margaret Foster; two sisters, Mrs. Clyde Sneed of Baxter Springs Kansas and Mrs. Goldie Milton of Galena, and one brother, Melvin Foster of Baxter Springs.
