The funeral of Samuel Forgey, who died Apr 23, 1924, age 17, at a local hospital Wednesday from spinal meningitis, was held from the church at Zincville Oklahoma this morning at 10:30. The Rev. Glenn E. Tilton, pastor of the First Methodist church of this city, conducted the services. Burial Apr 25, 1924, was in the Miami G.A.R. cemetery, under the direction of the N. W. Green undertaking company. A hard rock lead and zinc miner, he had been employed at the Huttig Mine as a shoveler. He is survived by two brothers, Wesley Forgey of Zincville, and Frank Forgey, now serving in the army in Colorado, and a cousin, S. B. Hudson of Muskogee Oklahoma.
