The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Forbes, residing in the south part of Picher, died Nov 3, 1925, last night. Funeral services were held at the family home at 11 o'clock this morning and burial Nov 4, 1925, was in the Oak Hill cemetery at Galena Kansas under direction of the Todd undertaking company, Picher Oklahoma.

Funeral services for the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Forbes, residing in the south part of Picher, who died last night, were held at the family home at 11 o'clock this morning. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery at Galena Kansas.

A lifetime resident of the Tri-State district, Walter Forbes, died Oct 2, 1948, age 58, at his home, 528 Ottawa Street, Saturday morning. He was a retired hard rock lead and zinc miner. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Iva Forbes; two sons, John Forbes and Melvin Forbes, and a daughter, Edna June Forbes, all of the home. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Assembly of God church with the Rev. Henry Horn officiating. Burial Oct 4, 1948, will be in the Oak Hill cemetery at Galena Kansas under direction of the Goodson-Darnil funeral home, Picher. The body lay in state at the home from 10 o'clock Monday morning, until the funeral hour. Pallbearers were Lon Pitts, D. L. Dailey, Floyd Dunning, Jack Stacey, C. E. Trentham and C. R. Breeden.
