Abstract Data

of Fairland Oklahoma Rt 2, died Jan 24, 1945, age 47, at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning shortly after suffering from an attack of acute indigestion at the Blue Goose Mine No. 2, south of Cardin Oklahoma. He was employed as a hard rock lead and zinc roof trimmer by the company since 1937. The mine is operated by the Eagle-Picher Mining Company. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mildred Fields; two sons, Pvt. Walter Fields, who is stationed at Fort Benning Georgia, and Bobby Joe Fields at the home; his mother, Mrs. Addie Burrows of Woodland California; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Bishop and Mrs. Beulah Kimworthy, and three brothers, James Fields, Jack Fields and Ben Fields of Woodland California The body is at the Durnil funeral home, Picher Oklahoma.

Funeral services for George Marion Fields will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday from the Miami Assembly of God church. The Rev. W. C. Shackelford will officiate. Burial Jan 28, 1945, will be in the Miami G.A.R. cemetery under direction of the Durnil funeral home.
