Abstract Data

retired hard rock lead and zinc miner and resident of the Miami community since 1915, died Jan 14, 1954, age 93, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Simpkins, Miami Rt 1, at 3 p.m. Thursday. He had been seriously ill for the last six months. Survivors include three other daughters, Mrs. B. Wilson of Watts Oklahoma, Miss Mae Fields of Miami Rt 3, and Mrs. Roy Miller of Miami; four sons, Claude Fields of Seneca Rt 2, Arthur Fields, Estacada Oregon, and Tom Fields and Orval Fields, both of Miami Rt 3; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The body was received by the Miami funeral home. Arrangements for services are incomplete.
