watchman at the Chubb hard rock lead and zinc mine at Treece Kansas, died Mar 19, 1932, age 71, suddenly late yesterday afternoon at the office of the Chubb Mine. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mr. Faulk's lifeless body was found at the mine office at 6 o'clock. A physician was called immediately following the discovery of the death and after conducting an examination stated that Mr. Faulk had been dead possibly several hours. Coroner J. S. McAuley said death was due to heart trouble and no inquest would be held. Mr. Faulk and family lived a short distance south of the state line, being only a few blocks from the mine where he was employed. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sarah Jane Faulk; one son, Louis Faulk, of Avenal California; three daughters, Mrs. Daley Boggs of Wier City Kansas; Mrs. Irene Bickell of Tartonridge Kansas, and Mrs. Cora Owens of Columbus Kansas; three brothers, James Faulk of St. Johns Kansas, Edwin Faulk of Towands Kansas; and Milton Faulk of Spencer Indiana; three sisters, Mrs. Rose Waddell of Spencer Indiana; Mrs. Edith Long of West Palm Beach Florida, and Mrs. Madge Ownley of Jacksonville Florida; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mr. Faulk located at Treece in 1918, going there from Weir City Kansas. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge of Weir City. Funeral services will be conducted at the family home at 12:30 Sunday afternoon with the Rev. Billie Bain, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. Members of the Weir City I.O.O.F. lodge will be pallbearers and the order will have charge of services at the grave. Burial will be in Hosey Hill cemetery at Weir City. The funeral will be under direction of the Todd undertaking company.
