Funeral services for Elmer K. Everett, World War I veteran, who died Sep 13, 1939, age 44, at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning at his home at 1228 Choteau avenue in Baxter Springs Kansas was attributed to a heart attack, will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the First Baptist church in Baxter Springs with the Rev. H. Ellis Ogden, pastor, officiating. Burial Sep 16, 1939, with rites at the grave in Baxter Springs cemetery will be conducted by the American Legion post. He is survived by two brothers, Fred Everett, who lives in Missouri, and John Everett, who is residing in New Mexico. Mr. Everett moved to Baxter Springs eight years ago from Oklahoma. He was formerly employed at the Sunflower hard rock lead and zinc mine.
