a resident of Picher Oklahoma, Forrest R. Evans, died Apr 5, 1955, age 40, Tuesday afternoon in an ambulance while en route from his home to the office of a Miami physician. A former hard rock lead and zinc miner and barber, Evans had been in poor health for several months. Surviving are his wife, Juanita Evans, and seven children, ranging in ages from six months to 13 years, all of the home at 601 South Ella Street. The children are Richard Evans, Forrest Evans, Jr., William Evans, Stanley Evans, Anna Marie Evans, Betty Jean Evans, Linda Sue Evans and Patricia Jo Evans. Also surviving are Evans' mother, Mrs. Adeline Collins, Picher; three brothers, Harry Evans and Mearl Evans, both of Pontiac Michigan, and Rolla Evans, Waynesville Missouri; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Hopper, Quapaw Oklahoma; Mrs. Jewell Simmons, Waynesville; Mrs. Ruby Burt, Wichita, and Mrs. Golda Vanderpool, Pontiac. Funeral arrangements will be under direction of the Mitchelson mortuary, Commerce.
