Funeral services for Edward Drake, 66, a pioneer of Pinal county Arizona, who died recently at his home in Phoenix Arizona, were held at the Fisher Memorial chapel there, Jul 27, with the Reverend Ross, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Coolidge Arizona, officiating. Burial was in Mountain View cemetery. Mr. Drake was born in Indian Territory, in what is now Miami Oklahoma, on Nov 11, 1877. Since moving to Arizona 22 years ago. Mr. Drake was actively engaged in the mining and cattle industries for many years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Susie Mitchell Drake of Phoenix; a son, Theos P. Drake, now serving with the U.S. Navy at Pearl Harbor; a daughter, Mrs. B. W. Smith, and a granddaughter, Barbara Smith of Gallatin Tennessee.
