Doty, Joe A.

Funeral services for Joe A. Doty, Picher Oklahoma, who died Aug 16, 1967, age 72, at 9:30 o'clock Wednesday night at Miami Baptist hospital, will be at 1 o'clock this afternoon in the Paul Thomas chapel. The Rev. Arthur Shawgo will officiate. Burial Aug 18, 1967, will be in the Fairview cemetery in Joplin Missouri. Pallbearers will be W. P. Ray, Jack Ray, Paul Pace, Raymond Williams, Bill Lester and R. C. Kissee. Mr. Doty was born Oct 1, 1894 at Roaring River Missouri. He had lived in Picher for 40 years after moving there from Joplin. He was a retired miner. Survivors are one son, Gailon Doty of Los Angeles California; two daughters, Mrs. Pauline Hatfield of Joplin, and Mrs. Virginia McPhitridge of Cypress California; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Laverne Woodrow of Sand Springs Oklahoma; one stepson Vince Barnett of Smelterville Idaho; and five grandchildren.
