George Dever has asked officers to search for his son, Ernest "Earl" Dever, 21 years old, who left the family home at 614 Vantage Street, Picher Oklahoma, at 5:30 on the afternoon of Jan 3, 1923. He told his father that he was going to work at the Aztec Mine. He has not been seen in Picher since and relatives fear that he has been the victim of foul play. One of Dever's eyes was injured while working at the Aztec Mine a few weeks before his disappearance. The mine sent for him to resume work and his father said that he left the house to walk to the mine. He had no money in his pockets. The description follows: Height 66 inches, weight 155 pounds, dark brown hair and eyes; wore high top lace boots, brown hat, blue overalls and has a scar on left foot made by an axe. Note: Did not find an article telling if he was located.
