died following a brief illness at 8:30 am Sunday in Miami Baptist hospital. He was admitted there Saturday. Davis, born Mar 3, 1925, in Picher, had lived in Commerce most all his life. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of the Miami VFW. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lucille Davis, of the home; two daughters, Sherry Lynn Davis, of the home, and Ruth Ann Sears, Commerce; two brothers, J. L. Norton Davis and Eugene Davis, both of Commerce; his mother, Mrs. Annabelle Davis, Commerce and one grandchild. ...Pallbearers will be Elmer Atkinson, Delbert Garrett, George Captain, Ernest Hawk, Ralph Cumpton and Herb Conrad. Note: Se the entry for Robert Tom Davis, and note the different spelling of the Mother's name.
