Arguments were completed today in a damage suit of Mrs. Purdy Davis of Picher Oklahoma, against George W. Beck, Jr., and the Beck Royalty Company, for $25,000, and the case went to the jury. A verdict was expected late this afternoon. Mrs. Davis asked damages for injuries received when she fell into a drill hole put down by Mr. Beck on a mining lease. The accident occurred in December, 1925.

Judgment for $3,250 was awarded Mrs. Purdy Davis of Picher in her $25,000 damage suit against George W. Beck, Jr., of Miami. The verdict was received late Tuesday afternoon in the district court after several hours of deliberation by the jury. The action was brought by Mrs. Davis as a result of a fall into a drill hole put down by Mr. Beck on a mining lease. Motion for a new trial was filed today by attorneys for Mr. Beck.
