71 years old, died at 2 o'clock Wednesday morning at his home, 1701 Joplin Street, after an illness of several weeks. He was born in Illinois, and had resided here for the last 50 years. Later, he became interested in real estate transactions. Funeral services will be held at the Allison funeral chapel at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon, with Chaplain A. D. Sutherland, pastor of the Presbyterian church, in charge. Burial will be in Hill Crest cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma Cutright; a son, Albert Cutright of Riverton Kansas; a sister, Mrs. Bob Petty of Galena; two sisters residing in Illinois, and two brothers, one in California and the other at Racine Missouri. Mr. Cutright has a card from the Kansas State Board of Health a copy of which is in the hands of Mrs. Betty Pulley, Miami, that indicates he had tuberculosis, is marked deceased Dec 13, 1944, and the case number was C1276. The date the card was made is not noted.

Mrs. Emma Cutright, 80 years old, born 1868, died at 8 o'clock Monday morning at her home, 1701 Joplin Street, following a long illness. Born in Paris, Arkansas, Mrs. Cutright came to Galena in 1895. Her husband, Albert Cutright, a hard rock lead and zinc miner, died three years ago. She was a member of the Presbyterian church. She is survived by a son, Albert P. Cutright of Galena; six nieces, Mrs. Lola Powell, Mrs. Dorothy Hulvey and Mrs. Kathryn Kennedy of Galena, Mrs. Gladys Treadway of Parsons Kansas, Mrs. John Cooper of Baxter Springs and Miss Floy Petty of Tulsa Oklahoma, and three nephews, Otto Petty of Laton California, John Petty of San Diego California, and Don Petty of Reno Nevada. Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Poteet funeral chapel with the Rev. Ben Walker, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest cemetery. Mrs. Cutright has a Kansas State Board of Health card a copy of which is in the possession of Mrs. Betty Pulley, Miami, that indicates she was treated for tuberculosis from May 17, 1944 and the record was closed Jan 6, 1947. Mrs. Pulley remarked that both the Cutrights died from tuberculosis. The Street address in 1944 was 1612 Galena, Galena Kansas.
