...White Lady, "Cuddie" Cuddeback's registered white collie, is now the mother of eight beautiful puppies. She has five sons and three daughters.

Cuddeback, worked for 35 years in the Tri-State mining district before retiring in 1965. He has vivid memories of assisting in all phases designing, building and operating of the huge Eagle-Picher Central Mill. In recent years he has devoted thousands of hours to organizing a comprehensive Photo-film history of the mining area. The Tri-State Story is the title of the complete page in the newspaper about Cuddeback and is complete with many photographs of the mining industry that was furnished by Cuddeback and Eagle-Picher Company. Cuddeback was a mining smelterman, churn drill helper, bookkeeper, metallurgist, geologist, and general manager of the Eagle-Picher Central Mill before his retirement. It was while Eagle-Picher was shutting down its area mine-mill operations a few years ago that Miamian Cuddeback noticed large quantities of photographs and movie film being boxed, presumably for storage. Gaining permission from the company, which still retains ownership of the materials, Cuddeback began sorting out, cataloging and organizing the still photos. He also began the long, laborious process of organizing, cutting and splicing movie film into an integrated whole. The result is a 40 minutes film, "The Tri-State Story," which he narrates when showing it before groups. Cuddeback has produced a living history of mining operations in this area. Thus Cuddeback's record of mining achievement continues nearly a decade since his retirement, which followed a 35 years mining career.
