Abstract Data

Picher Oklahoma. Two young men staged a holdup late Saturday night on North Netta Street in which Ralph Crabtree was the victim. The bandits, who were armed with a shotgun, relieved Crabtree of $6. Crabtree was en route to his home in the northwest part of Picher when accosted by the bandit pair. A second holdup early Saturday night in the Mineral Heights addition also was reported. Clarence Crice, about 25 years old, was the victim. After crossing the footbridge on Lytle Creek, he was accosted by three young men, two of whom were reported to have struck him several blows. A search of Crice showed that he had no money with him and he was allowed to proceed on his way.
