Galena Kansas, Reubin Crabtree, about 82 years old, longtime Galena resident, died at 7:20 o'clock Sunday night in St. John's hospital at Joplin Missouri following a brief illness. He had been a patient in the hospital since Friday night. He lived at 411? Main Street, Galena. Mr. Crabtree was the last member of a pioneer Galena family, who were well known in Galena in the early mining days of the city. Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Ethel Power of South Gate, California and Mrs. Mamie Long of Fort Scott Kansas; two great nieces, Mrs. Ruth Whittington and Mrs. Norma Strohmeier of Seal Beach, California, and a great nephew, Bill Crabtree, serving in the U. S. Navy and stationed at Honolulu. Funeral plans are in charge of the Derfelt funeral home.
