46 year old retired miner, died Friday night at 10:05 o'clock, at his home at 635 South Oneida Street, Picher Oklahoma. He had been seriously ill with a heart ailment for three days. He was born in Indianola Indian Territory Oklahoma, Jan 17, 1906 to I. S. Cox and Nora Cox. He had been a resident of this area the past twenty-two years. He was a member of the First Baptist church of Picher. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Charlotte Cox; four sons, Private Jake Cox, with the army in Korea, Corporal Eldon Cox, of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina; Private Chester Cox, stationed at Sheppard air base in Texas and Gary Cox of the home; three daughters, Joyce Cox, Beverly Cox and Mary Jane Cox of the home; his mother Mrs. Nora Cox of Quapaw Oklahoma; a brother, Fred Cox of Quapaw Oklahoma and three sisters, Mrs. E. C. Duncan of Quapaw, Mrs. S. B. Engleman of McAllister and Mrs. Cora Nelson of Ukiah California. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 o'clock a.m., Friday, at the First Baptist church, Picher, with the Rev. C. E. Bergen officiating. Burial will be in the Kansas Oklahoma, cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ray DeLapp, A. G. Hattabaugh, Adolph Sedberry, Archie Davis, Johnny Mouriquand and George Martin.

Claude Cox, a resident of the Tri-State area for 22 years, died at 10:10 o'clock Friday night at his Picher home, 635 South Oneida Street. Cox, a hard rock lead and zinc miner, had been in ill health for some time. The deceased was a member of the Picher First Baptist church. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Thomas funeral home, Picher.

Funeral services for Claude Cox, 46 year old lead and zinc miner who died at his home in Picher last Friday, will be conducted at the First Baptist church at 10 a.m. Friday. The Rev. C. E. Bergen will officiate. Pallbearers will be Ray DeLapp, A. J. Hattabaugh, Adolph Sedberry, Archie Davis, Johnny Mouriquand, and George Martin. Burial will be in the cemetery at Kansas, near Jay Oklahoma in Delaware county, under direction of the Thomas funeral home of Picher.
