Quapaw Oklahoma, died at 8:05 pm, Wednesday, Aug 26, 1998, at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin Missouri, after an illness. He was 75. Mr. Cousatte was born on May 29, 1923, at Quapaw to Benjamin Calier Cousatte and Bessie Sarah McGinnis Cousatte. He had lived in the Quapaw and Peoria Oklahoma community all of his life. He was a retired lead and zinc miner, working in the area lead and zinc mines. He is survived by one son, Benny Cousatte, Lubbock Texas; four daughters, Paula Midrid, Mule Shoe Texas, Linda Johnson, Qulian Texas, Janie Gibbins, Mule Shoe, and Susie Sowder, Maple Texas; one brother, Bud Cousatte, Noel Missouri, 14 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren. The service will be at 10 am Saturday at the Paul Thomas funeral home of Picher. The Rev. Jim McMechan will officiate. Burial will be in Cousatte cemetery, east of Quapaw. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from7 to 8 pm Friday, at the Paul Thomas funeral home of Picher.
