A resident of Miami since childhood, Alva Clevenger, belonged to the First Christian church and the Bethel Sunday school class. Mr. Clevenger is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gussie Clevenger, of the home at 306 B Street southeast, Miami; three sons, Lee Junior Utah of Window Rock Arizona, Asa Leroy Clevenger, Phoenix Arizona and Forrest Eugene Clevenger, Amarillo Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Herbert Sherard, Miami; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The body was received by the Cooper funeral home.

Funeral services, will be held at 2 pm Monday in the Cooper funeral home chapel. Russell Martin, minister of the First Christian church, will officiate. Pallbearers will be Otis Lacy, Ralph Harner, Jim Hawkins, Carl Juergens, Roy Green and Sherman Staton. Burial will be in the G.A.R. cemetery at Miami.
