retired hard rock lead and zinc miner, who for the last three years had engaged in farming, died yesterday at his home in Chetopa Kansas. He was born in Harrison Arkansas, Jan 31, 1892, and came to this community several years ago to reside. He is survived by his widow, who was Miss Jessie Crane, before their marriage Dec 19, 1914, in Commerce Oklahoma; three sons, Robert Clark, with the navy in the Pacific area, Willis I. Clark and Vernon G. Clark, both of Chetopa; five daughters, Mrs. Maxine Brown of Commerce Oklahoma, Mrs. Ray Schriver, Mrs. Orville Hite of Miami Oklahoma, Mrs. Wiley Hahn of Pittsburg, and Miss Myra Clark of the home and a sister, Mrs. Mary Ashmead of Harrison. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at the Fritz funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery, near Chetopa.
