48 years old, died unexpectedly at 1:05 o'clock Thursday afternoon in St. John's hospital. Mr. Childress became ill in his home Oct 9th and was taken to the hospital for medical treatment. He had not previously been in ill health. He was interested in mining and was well known by his mining activities in the Picher Oklahoma field. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Doris Childress; two daughters, Mrs. Clay James, Joplin Missouri, and Miss Michale Ann Childress, and a son, Carlyn Childress, of the home; his mother, Mrs. Frank James, a brother, Paul Childress and one grandchild all of Joplin Missouri. Note: See Charles Childress. The names are different but the information is similar.
