died Jul 9, 1942, age 37. A Miami electrician for the Eagle-Picher Mining Company, he was found dead about 10:30 o'clock this morning in the electric shop of the company's Central Mill. Champlin was removed to Picher Oklahoma hospital in a Durnil ambulance, where physicians reported he had evidently died of a heart attack. He had been loading electric motors prior to the attack, mining company employees said. The Miamian, who lived at 125 B Street northwest, Miami, had been employed by the Federal Housing 1935 to 1937, and later became connected with the National Youth administration. While working for NYA, Champlain originated a training plan which is being used in NYA student vocational training centers, now in operation in Miami and over the state. He was credited with inauguration of the vocational idea by Houston B. Wright, former head of Oklahoma NYA projects. Champlin had been employed as electrician by the Eagle-Picher Mining Company since last October. Surviving the Miamian are his wife, Mrs. Vida L. Champlin, and two children. Champlin, Miamian living at 125 B Street northwest, was found dead about 10:30 o'clock Thursday morning at the Eagle-Picher Central Mill. He was removed to Picher hospital, where efforts to revive him proved unsuccessful. The Miamian is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vida L. Champlin; two sons, Michael Eugene Champlin and Robert Marin Champlin, both of the home; and one sister, Mrs. Vennie Marvin, Warren Wisconsin. Funeral arrangements are under direction of Cooper funeral home.

Funeral services for Ted Champlin, Miami electrician, will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the First Baptist church. The Rev. L. L. Zimmerman will officiate. Champlin, who lived at 125 B Street northwest, died suddenly Thursday morning of a heart attack. Pallbearers will be August Witzansky, Perry Hollis, Aymer Scholes, Allie B. Adams, Lee Stancoff and Floyd Conway. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery, at Miami, under direction of Cooper funeral home.
