A former Picher Oklahoma resident, Oscar P. Cawyer, Globe Arizona, died at 4:30 pm in the state sanitarium at Tempe Arizona. He was born Nov 21, 1898, in Joplin Missouri, and resided in Picher from 1918 to 1953, when he moved to Arizona. He was a retired miner. Mr. Cawyer, 70, is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Cawyer of the home in Globe; five sons, Roy Cawyer, Miami, Thomas Cawyer, Boron California; Howard Cawyer, Jason Cawyer, and Harold Cawyer of Picher; two daughters, Ruby Cawyer of Bakersfield California; and Mrs. Ruth Ferris, Wichita Kansas; Alfred Linthicum and Freddy Donald Linthicum of Globe; three step-daughters Mrs. Jewel Mae Lawrence, Oakridge Oregon, Mrs. Sharon Walker and Mrs. Mary French, of Globe; 18 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Arrangements will be made with the Paul Thomas funeral home of Picher.
