Mr. Cavender, 62 years old Picher Oklahoma resident, was found dead at his home on West B Street at 8 o'clock Tuesday morning. He was believed to have been a victim of a heart attack. Mr. Cavender had been a resident of Picher for 26 years, having been a retired miner. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mandy Cavender; three daughters, Mrs. Delores Radford of Bryn Mawr California, Mrs. Rosie Carrico and Mrs. Bessie Crossland, of Picher; two sons, Paul Cavender of Bryn Mawr, and Johnny Cavender with the U.S. Air Force in Albany Georgia; one sister, Mrs. Mahala Rupert of Hiattville Kansas; two nephews, Luke Patrick of Picher and Judy Patrick of Joplin Missouri, and four grandchildren. Funeral plans will be announced after the arrival of family members.

Funeral services for Joe Cavender, 62 years old, a retired miner who died at his home July 12, were conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Freewill Baptist church. The Rev. F. Orain officiated and burial was in the G.A.R. cemetery at Miami, under the direction of the Goodson-Durnil funeral home. Pallbearers were Hurley Tweedy, Charles Garner, Raymond Burgett, Andy Perry and Layton Glenn.
