News was received in this city about 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon of a shooting affray at St. Louis Mine Shaft No. 1, near Douthat Oklahoma, in which Bart Carpenter, ground boss, was shot twice. He will recover, it is said. The two shots took effect, one striking Carpenter in the neck, the other in the side. A. Barry, it is said, did the shooting. Sheriff Freeman and several deputies, as soon as they heard about the shooting, hurried to the scene. Barry had been discharged, a dispute arose, and the shooting followed.
