Funeral services for John Will Carmack, a mine machinist who died Feb 20, 1936, age 38, at 5 o'clock Thursday afternoon at his home in Baxter Springs Kansas, will be conducted at 2 Sunday afternoon at the Fifth Street Mission, of which he was a member. He died at his home, 516 Lincoln avenue, after an illness of four weeks. Mr. Carmack was a former resident of Carterville Missouri, moving to Baxter 14 years ago to work in the mines. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Opal Carmack; four brothers, George Carmack, Jack Carmack, Ellas Carmack and Earl Carmack, all of Baxter Springs, four sisters, Mrs. Lillian Baker of Joplin Missouri, Mrs. Christine Piercefield and Miss Pearl Carmack, of Quapaw Oklahoma and Miss Anna Carmack of Baxter Springs, and his grandmother, Mrs. Rachel Moss of Winton California. Burial Feb 23, 1936, will be in Lowell Kansas cemetery.
