was electrocuted and instantly killed Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock when he came in contact with a 33,000 volt power wire of the Empire District Electric Company at a point near the Kansas state line, north of Zincville Oklahoma. He was attempting to raise the wires to enable a house to pass under, which he with other employees of the Webb City Transfer Company were engaged in moving. One of his daughters lives at Miami. The roof of the house was wet and Canada apparently took hold of the wire with his left hand and was thrown violently from the house top. Dr. J. T. Dodson and Paul Dorman of the Todd undertaking company were taken to the scene immediately and applied a lung motor but all efforts at resuscitation failed. Canada's body was taken to the Todd morgue at Picher Oklahoma, where an inquest was held Monday with H. L. Henderson, justice of the peace, presiding. Canada resided near Fourth and Vantage Streets, Picher Oklahoma, with four sons, James Canada, Bert Canada, Joseph Canada and John Canada and one daughter, Miss Viola Canada. Another son, Owen Canada resides at Lake City Arkansas. Canada resides at Lake City Arkansas. Canada was 53 years old and has been employed by the Webb City Transfer Company for several months.
