Until his retirement in 1946 Butterly was superintendent of the Eagle-Picher Machinery Company. Previously he had worked for the Admiralty Mining Company, which was purchased by Eagle-Picher. Mr. Butterly is survived by his wife, Della Butterly, of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Lucille Stevens, Las Vegas Nevada, Mrs. Helen Dorris, Concord California, and Mrs. Clo Leonard, Richmond California; one son, Herman Owen, Whittier California; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The widow and her sister, Mrs. Ola Housey, operate the Elizabeth Burial Garment Company in Commerce.
