Burris, Melvin Leroy

lived in the Commerce area most of his life. He retired from Eagle-Picher six years ago because of ill health after 23 years with the company. He was a member of North Miami Baptist church. Surviving are one son, Delmer Burris, Miami; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Boutot, Commerce, and Mrs. Phyllis Smith, Miami; three brothers, Norman Burris, Monett Missouri; Leon Burris, and Bob Burris, both of Fairland Oklahoma; three sisters, Mrs. Hazel Harper, Seneca Missouri, Mrs. Velma Ogle, Seattle Washington, and Mrs. Maxine Mercer, Richmond California and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers: Billy Burris, Roger Burris, Bob Matthews, Larry Mathews, Wyley Shell and Jim Hutchens.
