of Quapaw Oklahoma, died Sunday, Mar 14, 1999, after a sudden illness. He was 69. He was born Jun 28, 1929, at Douthat Oklahoma to Charles Albert Burkybile and May Dutton Burkybile. He had lived in the Quapaw area for most of his life. He was a retired lead and zinc miner and worked for the Auto Convoy Company of Quapaw. He was of the Pentecostal faith and attended Faith Pentecostal Church. He married Jo Ann Strickland on May 7, 1950, at Quapaw. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include four sons, Albert Eugene Burkybile, Baxter Springs Kansas; Charles William Burkybile, Jr., Galena Kansas; Franklin Earl Burkybile, Quapaw; Roger Dale Burkybile, Baxter Springs Kansas; one daughter Beverly Ann Doss, Wichita Kansas; one half-sister, Lola Mae Woods, Picher Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Monday. Mar 15, 1999, at the funeral home with the Rev. Ellen Herron officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Paul Thomas funeral home, Miami Oklahoma.
