Services were pending today for Ralph Eugene Bryant, lifelong resident of the Tri-State district who died Aug 20, 1956, age 49m in the Picher hospital at 3 pm. He suffered a heart attack earlier at his home, 500 South College Street, Picher Oklahoma. Bryant, a hard rock lead and zinc miner, had lived in Picher since he moved from Joplin Missouri in 1917. He was born in Carl Junction Missouri. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edith Bryant of the home; a son, Ralph L. Bryant, Picher; four daughters, Mrs. Wanda Lopez and Mrs. Betty Ice, both of Kellogg Idaho, and Mrs. Judy Hutchens and Mrs. Georgia Akin, both of Picher; his father, Chris Bryant, Joplin; two brothers, Frank Bryant, Fresno California, and Andrew Bryant, Joplin; two sisters, Mrs. Violet Snow and Mrs. Birdie Vawlver, both of Joplin, and 13 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Assembly of God church in Picher for Ralph Eugene Bryant, who died Monday after suffering a heart attack. The Rev. Simon Peter will officiate. Burial Aug 25, 1956, will be in G.A.R. cemetery, Miami under direction of the Thomas mortuary. Pallbearers will include Bill Koontz, Bill Southard, B. Redden, Joe Sharbutt, Lloyd Shaffer and George Brannum. The body will lie in state at the Bryant home in Picher, 500 South College Street, from 6 p.m. today until the funeral hour.
