funeral services of James Albert Brown, who died Nov 18, 1917, age 49, shortly after midnight Sunday morning, were conducted at the undertaking rooms of Millner and Fribley, Monday by Rev. C. Stubblefield, pastor of the Baptist church, and the body was sent to Galena Kansas, for burial Nov 19, 1917. Mr. Brown, who had been ill for some time prior to his death, was a victim of miner's consumption. He was 49 years old. He leaves a wife and a young son. Mr. Brown was a member of the Moose Lodge and was well known throughout the Miami district.
