Brown, a former prospecting driller for the old Commerce Mining and Royalty Company, died Jun 1, 1954, age 61, at his home in Richmond California, on a Tuesday. He had lived in Miami for 50 years before he moved to Richmond 12 years ago. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hannah Brown of the home in Richmond; six sons, Virgil Brown, Bill Brown and Jane Brown, all of Richmond, Denzell Brown of Jay Oklahoma, and Willie Brown of Hominy Oklahoma; and Lloyd Brown of Miami; a daughter, Mrs. Stanley Olson of Richmond; his father, Frank Brown of Miami; four sisters, Mrs. Charley Doan of Grove; Mrs. Steve Scarbrough of Sapulpa, and Mrs. Vick Crockett and Mrs. Janie Monahan, both of Miami, and eight grandchildren. The body will be received by the Cooper funeral home. Arrangements for services and burial are incomplete.
