Abstract Data
A hard rock lead and zinc miner about 50 years of age, was found dead at 6:30 o'clock in his home near the Premier Mine, Picher Oklahoma. A boy who was staying with him made the discovery. Workmen at the Premier Mine state that Brown worked until 12:30 o'clock this morning. When he was found he had his working clothes on and was lying across the bed. It is thought death was caused by heart trouble. Brown had two sons, Earl Brown and Roy Brown, who enlisted in the army from this district, and both were killed in the service. Little is known at present concerning the dead man's relatives. He had been sent to the Picher hospital, at Picher, twice during the past year as the result of mining accidents. His body was sent to the morgue of the Todd undertaking Company, Picher. A search is being made for his relatives. Note: Did not find any newspaper articles about the accidents.
