Word was received Saturday of the death of Baxter Brown, 36 years old, formerly of Miami, who died at Phoenix, Arizona. Brown was employed in the mining field. He is survived by his wife, Cora Brown, one son, Charles Brown; a step-son, Amos Hayworth, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Wilson, 13 North Main Street. The Lane funeral home is in charge of funeral arrangements. The body will be returned this week.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday at the Assembly of God church. Brown, a former resident of Miami, was employed as a hard rock lead and zinc miner by the Commerce Mining and Royalty Company. Surviving him in addition to earlier listing are: six brothers, Fred Brown of Micawler Oklahoma; Homer Brown of Buckeye Arizona; Jake Brown of Okemah, Charley Brown of Stigler and Tom Brown and Dempsey Brown, both of Miami; four sisters, Mrs. Jack Cavanaugh, Avanell Wilson, Joan Wilson and Hazel Wilson, all of Miami. The body will be in state at the Lane funeral home until the funeral hour. The Rev. Robert Andrews, assisted by the Rev. J. M. Cockerell, will officiate. Burial will be Jan 14, 1938, in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami.
