of Commerce Oklahoma, died Jun 30, 1937, age 49, early today in a hospital at Talihina Oklahoma, where he had been a patient since February. He had been employed in recent years as a welder for district mining company and had lived, until he left for Talihina, at Commerce. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Brooks, of Commerce; two step-daughters, Mrs. H. E. Petro and Mrs. W. C. Creamer, both of Long Beach California, his father, Elijah Brooks of Quinton Oklahoma; one brother, Herman Brooks, and five sisters, all of Quinton. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Funeral services and burial will be at Joplin Missouri under the direction of the Hurlbut undertaking company.
