Funeral services for John W. Bowers, 42 years old, who died at 1:30 Saturday morning from tuberculosis, will be conducted from the residence at 2 Monday afternoon. The Todd undertaking company will take the body to Fairview cemetery, Joplin Missouri, for burial. Bowers was a well known miner. He had been ill for several weeks. He is survived by his wife and two sons, all of whom reside in Zincville Oklahoma.

Funeral services for John W. Bowers, who died from a cancer Saturday morning, were held at the home at 1:30 Monday afternoon. Burial was in Fairview cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Birdie Bowers; daughter, Miss Alberta Bowers; son Marcus Bowers; and four step-children, Mrs. Dorothy Garrison and Miss Iva Burnham of Excelsior Springs Missouri; Oscar Burnham and Arthur Burnham of Zincville. Funeral services were conducted by Lon Love, of Galena Kansas. Note: One article states he died from tuberculosis; another article states he died following an operation and a third article states he died from cancer.
