age 61, of 316 South Emily, Picher Oklahoma died at 11:45 pm Friday in Miami Baptist hospital after being a patient there for seven weeks. Born at Cokedale Kansas, Dec 13, 1908, he had resided at Picher some 20 years. In 1958 he moved to Grants New Mexico where he was employed for 10 years by United Nuclear Homestake Company until his retirement two years ago when he moved back to Picher. He was a former employee of Eagle-Picher Company. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic church in Miami. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Beatrice Bowers of the home, two brothers, P. W. Bowers, Liberty Kansas, and A. F. Bowers Joplin Missouri; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Taylor, Tima Arizona and several nieces and nephews. Rosary will be said at 7:30 tonight at the Paul Thomas chapel in Picher. Services will be held at 10 am Monday at the Sacred Heart church with the Rev. James Schrader officiating. Burial will be in the G.A.R. cemetery, at Miami. Pallbearers will be Fred Seamon, Clarence Houston, Ott Heatherly, Loren Johnson Jr., Ralph Kelley and Tommy Price.
