A hard rock lead and zinc miner living on the State Line road, west of Picher Oklahoma, was slugged and robbed of his hat and $7 late Saturday afternoon while en route to his home. Bond was walking along a switch track when he met two young men. He paid no attention to the two, but just after passing them he was struck from behind and was knocked unconscious. When he came to several minutes later he discovered his loss. He was unable to give a clear description of the two men.
