Blevins, of 715 M northwest, died unexpectedly at 7:45 pm Sunday in his home. He moved to Miami in 1922. After several years he moved back to Grove and then returned to Miami in 1954. He retired from mining in 1957 because of poor health. Mr. Blevins was a member of the Full Gospel church in Miami. He and his wife celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1969. Mr. Blevins is survived by his wife, Mrs. Violet Jones Blevins, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Keeton, 1307 Ninth northwest, Miami, and Mrs. Joyce Wright, 901 E Street Plaza; two brothers, Freeman Blevins, Dallas Texas, and Jess Blevins, Miami; six sisters, Mrs. Edna Offutt, Mrs. Sadie Mayes and Mrs. Alva McCoy, all of Miami, Mrs. Dovie Rogers, Jay Oklahoma, Mrs. Bonnie Varnar, Indo California, and Mrs. Molly Lightfoot, Irving Texas; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Arrangements will be announced by the Cooper funeral home.
