Funeral services for Louis B. Black, age 60, a hard rock lead and zinc mine machinist and powderman, will be conducted at the Methodist Episcopal church in Commerce Oklahoma, at 2 pm Wednesday. The Rev. Frank Simmons will officiate. Pallbearers will be Leo Hunter, George Broyles, Lloyd Hoffman, Albert Lewis, Frank Cooper and Kermit Turner. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami under direction of the Hunter funeral home of Picher. The body will lie in state at the Hunter chapel until the funeral hour. A resident of the Tri-State district for the past 35 years, Black died at his home, 214 South Main Street in Commerce, at 4:20 p.m. Monday after a short illness. Death was attributed to a heart attack aggravated by the heat. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Allie Black of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Maxine Morris of Pryor Oklahoma; two brothers, Arthur Black of Lebanon Missouri, and Jim Black of Edgar Springs Missouri, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Mace of Rolla Missouri.
