Bender, Clarence A. "Tink"

age 59, Treece Kansas, died Sep 12, 1973, at 10:30 am today in Maude Norton hospital, Columbus Kansas, where he had been a patient for three weeks. A retired miner, he had lived at Treece most of his life. He was a World War II Navy veteran. Bender, born Aug 1, 1914, at Galena Kansas, is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ione Bender; two sons, J. D. Bender, who lives in Germany, and Bill Roger Bender, National City California; a daughter, Mrs. Carole Smith, Wichita Kansas; a sister, Mrs. Nancy Simons, Treece; two brothers, Jack Bender, Galena, and Dale Bender, Joplin Missouri and 10 grandchildren. The body was received by the Paul Thomas funeral home of Picher Oklahoma.
