Raymond Beckett returned home yesterday from the tubercular hospital at Webb City Missouri, where he had been about ten days. He now plans on going to Albuquerque, in about one week in the hope of improving his health.

Raymond Beckett, 33 years old, a well known miner of Picher, died at St. John's hospital at Joplin yesterday following a lengthy illness of tuberculosis. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Laura Jones of Des Moines; a half-brother, George Wilson of Picher Oklahoma and a half-sister, Mrs. Murriel Gray of Carthage Missouri. He had worked in the mines several years, being last employed at Picher Mine No. 22. About one year ago he was forced to give up working and went to New Mexico in the hope of benefitting his health. Temporary relief was gained and he returned to Picher, but after a short time his condition became worse. Previous to locating in Picher he resided at Webb City Missouri, where he was employed in the mines. The funeral will be held at the funeral home of the Webb City undertaking company at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Burial will be in the Webb City cemetery.
