Beal, Oliver Walker "Son"

Funeral services for Beal, age 63, retired hard rock lead and zinc miner and resident of Douthat Oklahoma and Quapaw Oklahoma for the last 39 years, were incomplete today. A World War I veteran, Beal died at the Veterans' hospital in Muskogee Oklahoma, at 1:15 p.m. Thursday. He had been a patient there two weeks. Survivors include a brother, Randall Beal of Bozeman Montana, and a sister, Mrs. Sybil Clifford of Douthat. The body was received by the Thomas funeral home, Picher.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Thomas chapel in Picher at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Henry Moudy of Joplin will officiate. Pallbearers will be Paul Mauldin, Leo Nigh, Burgess Nixon, Rex Karnes, Jerry Allgood and Jerry Fezell. Burial will be in the Hillcrest cemetery at Galena Kansas The family requests that no floral tributes be sent.
