Beal, Melvin

Of Douthat Oklahoma, died Jan 6, 1943, at the Veteran's hospital at Sulphur Oklahoma at 11:30 pm Wednesday. He was a hard rock lead and zinc miner and veteran of World War I. He is survived by three brothers, Alvin W. Beal, Hugh Beal and Randall Beal, and one sister, Mrs. Charles Clifford, all of Douthat. Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Sunday morning at the First Baptist church in Douthat. The Rev. Glasgow will officiate. Burial Jan 10, 1943, will be in Hillcrest cemetery, near Galena Kansas under direction of Durnil funeral home, Picher.
