Funeral services for Oscar W. Barbee, 52 years old, who died at his home at Commerce Wednesday morning were to be held at 5 o'clock this afternoon at the Methodist church. Besides his wife and one son, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary Barbee of Joplin Missouri; one brother, Jess Barbee of Joplin Missouri, and two sisters, Mrs. Cora King of Joplin and Mrs. Mae Denman of Miami. Mr. Barbee had lived at Commerce for 15 years. He served for 20 years as ground foreman of the Consolidated Mining Company. He was a member of the Masonic bodies and the Methodist church. The Rev. W. C. Templin, assisted by the Rev. C. C. Cockrum, will officiate at services. The Masonic lodge will be charge of the rites. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami, under direction of the Mitchelson funeral home.
